Join our volunteers on a walk to Filey Brigg to look at seashore life, rocks and fossils. Examine them closely with our field microscope.

Muston Scarecrow Festival Visitors to the festival can expect to see over 100 scarecrows on display all over the village of Muston. During the festival, the village is literally taken over by scarecrows of a variety of shapes & sizes, colours & themes; you just never know where you might find one
peering at you!

To celebrate Yorkshire Day. Find out about Yorkshire’s Victorian National Seaweed expert and her
visits to Filey. Peer at Yorkshire Sea creatures through our microscope. Find out how to eat from the sea for free and take advantage of our free event in the best Yorkshire tradition of ‘spending now’t’. Sealife on the Seafront at Filey Beach RSPB event. Weatherpermitting there will be samples of living plankton and seashore life availablefor looking at under the microscope.

What to do?

All of our properties are close to fabulous beaches or woodland walks, so pack up a picnic and enjoy the wonderful British summer countryside. Bathe in nature...............we will be adding Field sound recordings to further illustrate our properties in 2024.

Over the years we have hosted a walking theatre performance and two summer outdoor theatre events, as well as assisted Cinematography students to make a film for Leeds University and enabled Vet students to obtain valuable practical work experience, if you have a project in mind, we'd be pleased to discuss things.........l shall be attending a field recording workshop to learn to create sound maps for all our properties in May 2023 in Northumberland.
