Clifftop is a pretty, painted Coastguard’s cottage with unrivalled sea views of Filey Brigg, Filey Bay and Flamborough Head, situated in the quiet ‘Old Filey Town’.  Broadband is available at the cottage and there is a mobility suite for those with limited mobility, with a single bed and wheelchair access to the shower and loo.

The cottage is easily spotted from the beach as it is now 'custard cream' in colour.

Bedrooms

There are 4 upstairs bedrooms. Supplied with duvets, pillows and bedcovers comprising; one 6’ double bed, one 4’6” double bed, one 3’6” single bed and two 6’ bunk beds. We have  upgraded the  pan-tiled outbuilding and created a 'mobility suite'. This includes a heated single bedroom with single bed and ensuite wetroom so that anyone with limited mobility/wheelchair user  or indeed anyone who wants some quiet R and R space, will be able to access full ground floor facilities. The wheelchair ramp has glow lights and lights up at night through solar powered pebbles.

Bathroom
The bathroom has a bath, washbasin and toilet with an original sliding half stained glass door. There is a downstairs electric shower and loo in the mobility suite.

Sitting Room

There is a small double sofa bed in the sitting room which has a gas coal fire, TV, comfortable armchairs, settee and bay window seat.

Kitchen

The galley kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, cooker, fridge, freezer and microwave, leading onto a dining conservatory which can seat up to 10 guests around the extending pine dining table.  There are French doors on to the garden and of course the glorious view.

Reading Room

With new fittings and furniture this room works well for those wanting to read or use their computer it  has a working open fire, phone and storage cupboard.

Garden

There is a garden dining table and benches so that the fabulous sea views can be enjoyed at all times of the year, outside or in.  Fixed garden seating, herbs, roses and lawn. 

Parking
Two cars have reserved spaces on hard standing at the property and additional car can be parked in the Courtyard if the Clematis Montana isn't in the way.

Access

Clifftop has a front and back door.  the front door leads to the public gardens which have been closed or from the back entrance down Sands Lane (no vehicles) which has both steps or a flat path suitable for wheel/pushchairs. The beach and Cobble Landing facilities are 2 minutes walk away.

Equipment

There is a small selection of games, beach equipments, BBQ etc for guest use stored in the cabin at Queen Street.

Shops

Clifftop is within easy reach of a variety of local shops, cafes and pubs and is a great base for the beach, sailing, walking, golfing and cycling.

Clifftop is dog friendly. Dogs are restricted to the beach below Cliff Top and the far end of Filey Bay from 1st May to September.

The property is centrally heated and decorated in ice cream colours with a combination of antique and contemporary furniture.

which is just 20m away. Gill looks after both houses and her husband the gardens.
